I got to get out,
or figure this shit out
it's too close for comfort.
or figure this shit out
it's too close for comfort.
For Daniel,
I apologize sincerely for any loss of eye-sight-slash-inspiration due to reading this post... x.x
How was it possible for his head to throb while in perfectly calm surroundings? Frankly, Gregory Zayne had to admit that his little drunk fiasco wasn't worth it compared to his hangover today. Even as he entered the library, he inwardly cringed as the door softly shut behind him.... it sure didn't seem very soft to his tender ears, even though no one turned to glare at his entrance. Which was rather odd, actually; the noise seemed to echo in his head for eons.
Today had been so incredibly surreal that Zayne was surprised that he wasn't dreaming. During his math class he had to go as far as to pinch himself on the arms... just to stay awake. Math had never been a very interesting subject anyway, but today it was harder not to doze off in order to relieve his aching head. Halfway through his classes, Zayne considered skipping just to go back to his dorm and sleep. But now, that had been why he came to this library.
The library was a lot closer, and quieter, for that matter. Sure, he might get a couple of weird looks if he passed out at one of the tables, but at this point, Zayne didn't care. They would have to drag him out of this library before he would leave on his own.
Eye-lids already beginning to droop, Zayne headed towards the farthest corner of the library. The brunette didn't so much as glance at who else would be fortunate to share the same table as him when he sat down; most likely they would just walk away if he began to snore too loudly. Zayne placed his belongings on the floor and then removed his jacket from off his shoulders, balling it into a shape suitable for a pillow. He rest his head down and closed his eyes. It wouldn't take much longer from this state; he was rather exhausted.
And yes, this was all happening just to avoid walking upstairs and down the hall to his actual bed. It made perfectly logical sense in Zayne's mind.... but what exactly was ever 'logical' to a hungover boy?
Several times Zayne adjusted his little would-be pillow and tossed his head from side to side, all to get comfortable. With a growl of irritation, Zayne opened his eyes and blinked. He just happened to be facing the boy whose table he had stolen for his bed. But, what was even better, was the fact that this boy's face was one that he recognized. Zayne sat up, and furrowed his eyebrows. "Daniel?" he said softly.
Yeah, the kid from Fabric's last night. That had to be him.... even if Zayne had been drunk, he didn't think that he would come to forget. It was to poor Daniel that he fucked up.... Zayne's lips twitched slightly as he remembered the night before. Well, he had thought he was just being nice and 'supportive' when he ordered Daniel and himself a couple of drinks and offered to listen to his troubles. The night had ended with the two of them, plus some asshole named Blake, standing in the men's room as Daniel vomited into the porcelain throne. What a brilliant night that had been.
Zayne forced a smile however. "Hey, man. I didn't know you went to school here. You okay now?" He sure hoped so.... otherwise the guilt would begin to pile into his stomach once more.
it's a thief in the night to come and grab you,
it can creep up inside you and consume you,
it's a disease of the mind it can control you
I feel like a monster
