[/b] He would be lying if he said he was not terrified by the thought of living with a stranger so far from home, yet he was not surprised that he felt so out of place. He had been use to being with his family all day long and never really got close to anyone enough to share a room with them for some sort of sleep over, so, he always did his own thing his own way and now he would have to be considerate towards one other person. He supposed this meant no constant loops of nature music to get to sleep or late night computer use, which would really throw a wrench into his plans. Eli was open to change, sometimes, but this was too much of a huge change for his taste anyway, his own routine would be thrown out of order due to this unknown variable...but he could be overreaction. Allowing a soft sigh to escape from lips, he ran his fingers through his brown locks of hair, pulling back his bangs out of frustration and eyed his new room’s door. It had taken a while for him to actually get to the dorm, he had lost his way around 4 times even though he had previously found the room earlier and dropped off his things, but he still had the amazing ability to get lost even with step by step directions. Eli knew the next step would be the easiest, just step it, but some strong invisible force kept him back from even stepping too close to the door, which was most likely his own uncertainty, his body giving him a chance to think over the unknown consequences of opening the door...so if he wanted he could run away and never look back. Smiling at the idea of recreating, his rigid stance softened slightly as he placed his hands into his pockets, his now gray eyes due to his contacts, remained trained on the door in front of him, ignoring the boys who passed by shooting him odd looks for simply standing in middle of the hallway rather than going in, but he just dismissed it all, this was between him and the room, no one else. He knew he was being more dramatic than normal, but this was a bigger step than he anticipated, having to almost share everything...along with public bathrooms. The mere thought made him want to run out of the building screaming, but he had to grow up and get out his damn shell sometime soon. Inhaling sharply, he took a step forward and placed his hand on the door knob, twisting it gingerly until he heard a small click before pushing forward, releasing the knob and glancing past the swinging door to his new residence. Stepping closer he poked his head inside, analyzing the room from outside before sticking is head back out, his face morphing into one of disgust as the smell hit his senses. It was nothing bad necessarily, just a cross between moth balls and maybe some sort of air freshener, but it was strong enough to make his eyes water. He did not notice this smell when he came by earlier, but he did not question the fact that it was pretty much hanging in the air now. In one swift motion, he stepped in the room and closed the door behind himself before opening one of the windows inside the room in hopes of banishing the odd smell and once his job was done, he rested his hands on his hips and looked around. Like earlier, his roommate was not around but he knew that sooner or later, he would meet the guy...whoever he was. Opening his blazer, he slipped it off and threw it on his own luggage which rested on his bed before going to work on his tie quickly, tugging harshly at the fabric wanting to get it off as quickly as possible. He was sure he was not the only one that would rather wear a monkey suit than these colors, they were an eye sore. He was not sure if it was some sort of weird initiation for new students or people actually thought this color would look nice, but who the hell wore a silver coat? It hurt him to even put on the tragedy, or maybe it was just him...he did not know too many other guys that thought too much about fashion before, but that was not the problem, he just wanted to change. Slipping off his shoes, he stripped off his tie before un-tucking his white stress shirt which was far from what he wanted to do, holding back the temptation of cutting it apart out of frustration, but this could work for now. Eli jumped on what he had claimed earlier as his single bed and sat cross legged, pulling his suit case towards him and opened it up deciding now was the best time to unpack. [/size] [/ul]

yahh~ who would want to wear Silver jackets? I dunno xDD;;
Today, was the day. It was the first day of his life, well not really, but the first day of his life at Eddingborough. He had his mother drive back home several times, as he forget some important items. He couldn't forget Mr. Jones? Could he? He would never make it through his whole first year alone, without his favorite stuffed animal! Actually, he wouldn't quite be alone. He was going to have a room mate. On this matter, Christian had been thinking nonstop about. They were room mates. Mates that lived together. Well, mates as in good friends - not mates as in that stuff he saw on animal planet. They would share everything together, and maybe even have sleep overs at other dorms! He couldn't wait.
Upon arriving at the school, Christian straightened out his tie and buttoned up his suit. Would they let him in if he wasn't wearing it? Perhaps, but it was better safe than sorry. Squeezing out of the van, he bid farewell to his mother, and headed in. Eddingborough was bigger than he expected, but it was also, well, beautiful. Fixating his duffel bag on his right shoulder, Christian took a deep breath as he stepped through the main entrance. Third years, second years, and fellow first years looked like they had already arrived. The hallways were a flood of mixed colors, both uniform and not. He noticed many third years didn't wear their uniform, but all the first years did. So, he wasn't the only one... Christian, unsure what to do, turned to ask one of the other first years what to do, but they seemed preoccupied. Their eyes caught on a third year, who had yelled to catch their attention. "Dorms down the right hall, once you reach the sign we laid out that says 'dorms' go down the hall with appropriate sign!"
Not wanting to get lost, Christian followed after stream of students headed in the same direction. His room number, that he had written on a slip of paper, clutched safely in his hand. It was only moments now, until he meet his new mate. Finding the freshman hallway, through the obvious sign pointing directly down it, Christian watched as the numbers went up. Stopping, after what seemed and endless walk, he started at the door in disbelief. This was happening, right? Shifting his duffel bag to his left shoulder he reluctantly turned the handle... now, or nothing.
"Ahhh," he cried, welcomed by a strong scent. He cringed, not wanting to enter, but stepped in and shut the door behind him. It was too strong. Luckily, he could see his room mate had taken the intuition of opening an window. Christian felt the urge to spray the room with the new air conditioner he bought, but at the moment, he wasn't sure that was a good idea. Sitting on his new bed, and setting his bag on the floor below him, he eyed his new room mate curiously. It took him at least a minute to realize he still hadn't introduced himself. How daft you are Christian! "Ah, I am Christian, by the way, though you could call me Chris."

After opening his black suit case, he flipped open the cover to gaze at the neatly folded clothing which rested underneath a couple of hangers. It was hard packing all the things he needed because when he went through his clothing, he saw everything as a necessity to bring along with him. Leaving his babies behind, such as is shoes and other articles of clothing was much harder than actually saying good bye to his family which was surprising to him. His clothing were special to him, since most were customized, he kept thinking that something bad would happen to them if he left them behind for much too long which was a ridiculous fear. Sighing out of frustration, he lifted his arms towards the ceiling and stretched his back producing a soft popping noise before he dropped them to his sides, satisfied with the instant strain relieved from his once stiff back, he began unpacking gradually. He was not going to put anything away just yet, since he would wait for his new roommate to decide what to do with the storage issue. Eli didn’t want to jump the gun and suddenly just pick out where he was going to put his clothing without consulting whoever his roommate was, since they would have to share almost anything. That single thought made him twitch unexpectedly since it was an odd notion he was not sure to, and he could not see himself getting use to, but humans were highly adaptable creatures and he would just have to get use to all this.
As he took out the hangers and rested it on the bed before taking out a few articles of clothing, he heard the door open and an odd noise which made him jump a bit, but he was soon reminded what he had gone through when he came in. He chuckled to himself at the thought, hoping other boy did not presume he was the one which brought about that smell, since it was an embarrassing assumption, but he shrugged off the thought before continuing with his unpacking so he would not continue staring at the door and maybe make the other feel out of place. He sure as hell would feel odd, walking into a room and having his new roommate watching him intently from a bed of all things, Eli would most likely back out slowly and pretend he walked into the wrong room and then run away. Shaking his head, he tucked his hair behind his ears so they would not fall into his line of vision before, continuing with his work, periodically glancing at the corner of his eye to quench his curiosity. Even though he was scared beyond anything, he was curious as to what his roommate would look like or maybe what he acted like, but everything came in good time so be pretended to remain busy.
As the guy walked inside and sat on the other bed in the room, he rose his head for once rather than keeping it tilted downwards and facing his bag, but straightened up at he noticed the other looking at him. He stared back idly, not saying anything at all, but set down the shirt in his hands into his suitcase not quite sure what to do next. Call him socially inept or maybe a bit awkward, but this was as far as it went for meetings for him; a small smile and a quick nod before moving on with his life and dismissing that person as just another face he has passed by but this was different. The guy in front of him was someone he would be stuck with for however long he would stay here, and he would be forced to make nice unless he wanted to seem like a total ass. As the continued to stare, the silence seemed to remain forever, but the guy introduced himself and he could feel himself sigh internally, happy he did need to make the first move.
“Oh...” he replied after the Chris introduced himself, and nodded, flashing a small yet unsure smile before he cleared his throat, before he spoke again, reminding himself to talk loudly so Chris could hear him since he always had problems with others actually hearing him when having a conversation. “Well, you are just can just call me Elliot or Eli...” he responded, not bothering with his full name since it was too complicated to explain, just using his English name for now was the easiest thing to do. After answering, he fiddled with the clothing in his bag before turning back towards Chris and sticking his hand out suddenly, offering it for a hand shake, which he supposed was called for at a time like this to be nice at least, right? “It’s nice to meet you; I guess we will be stuck together for a while.”
